Oooh look...stripes !!! :P lol

Well as you can see my mind came up with another weird image and of course I had to put it on paper.
This is a drawing of the concept of duality...

black white, contrast...duality...bad good... the human mind is like a huge zebra devided into blacks and whites- controls the person...sometimes you think you're free of that like those butterflies...but you're not really , no one is really free of that...well most people aren't...
it's black and white in the brain, male and female, dead or alive and so on...those kind of contrasts are the main concepts, and pretty much all of our thinking is somehow based on those - our brains are very judgmental.

Of course you don't have to see that, you can give it any other meaning you wish, see whatever you feel like seeing :) these are just some expressions of mine, which of course don't have to speak to you.

Anyhow...I hope you like this :)

Crazy crazy crazy, this stuff is cool...my favourite thing is the stripes turning into the figure.

Although i think your picture is brilliant...I recon you could do without the butterflies and the puppets hanging in the background...they look kinda naff compared to the main drawing and just take the eye away from it. IMO I think it would work better on a flat background as a simple, bold piece.

Its cool tho anyway.

thank you :) well i also love the zebra the most but you know, it's kinda goes together with the puppet concept, though i thought of it as well :)

Wow! This is just amazing Hon! I agree with your thoughts and concepts of duality and the human mind and love how your work has portrayed it here! The concept of duality in the human mind keeping the human body on puppet strings also! Great, great, great work...always love something that really makes you stop and think!

I agree, I do think that the unexpected transformation from zebra to hand and the contrast and the repeition of shapes make this drawing particulary eye catching. Not to mention the great coloring job, and ofcourse the depth of the theme. Yeah, I see the concept of duality-but I think you did an extra terrific job at showing the idea of transformation as well. Sure, some things are black and white-but there's lots of grayness in between, and the transition is just as important.

Without black, white couldn't excist.....and without bad, good couldn't excist....get my point? :) Maybe that's what the bubbles are....Anyhow! Great job on this, love the thought behind it, the picture gets stronger thanks to that. I can't find the right words here.....hope you understand! Maybe just a little bit?? :) Love that zebra-hand-thing, gorgeous!

--> spread the love, people -come on- you can do it <--
:iconastral-phoenix:
thank you :) yes of course, without black white cannot exist- not in the world we live in... there are other concepts, way beyond this, that are not supposed to be understood by the mind...and cannot be put into words...but let's just say that black is white and white is black and it's all the same...from a higher point of view... :)

^_^ my pleasure, it's very difficult to put something like that in one picture, but you did it brilliantly.
